First National Youth Games- Bengaluru
Submitted by EFIIndiaNF on Mon, 06/16/2008 - 22:50.The First National Youth Games will be held in Bengaluru from 22nd to 29th July 2008.A pioneering concept by the IOA , the Games will be a platform for the youth of the country to exhibit their sporting talents.Equestrian events will be held from 25th to 28 th July at the Embassy International Riding School in the disciplines of Dressage, Jumping , Eventing and Tent Pegging, ( Individual and Team events). Prospectus for the events is attatched.
Bid Calendar 2008 - 09

Last date for receiving bids is 30 June 2008. The Bid Evaluation Committee will screen bids and allott events to competent organisers.

Shri K S Rathore passes away
Submitted by EFIIndiaNF on Wed, 05/28/2008 - 00:38.The entire equestrian community stands bereaved at the demise of Shri K S Rathore IPS on 23rd May at Indore.
The most decorated Police equestrian in the country was also an illustrious professional civil servant rising to the Director General of Police rank . His association with the Federation started right from the organisation's birth. He served in various appointments in the Federation throughout the Federation's history representing the Central Zone in the present Executive Committee.
Federation calls on the Minister
Submitted by EFIIndiaNF on Thu, 05/08/2008 - 21:57.The Secretary General and Joint Secretary called on the Hon'able Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports today conveying felicitations on his appointment from the President on behalf of all the members of the Federation.Hon'able Minister , Shri M S Gill spent close to an hour listening to the activities , plans and problems of the Federation.

Imtiaz places 2nd in Advanced Horse Trials - Eventing
Submitted by EFIIndiaNF on Wed, 02/20/2008 - 11:13.Riding his horse Extravagance , Imtiaz started the Rocking Horse Winter Advanced Trials (three star level horse trial) putting up a score of 35.4 on the board in Dressage to stand 9th.
He added 8 penalties in Jumping , but Imtiaz and Extravagence rallied strongly in the cross country to have a clear round to finish a commendable second.
The feild included Bruce davidson Jr and Karen 'o Connor.

FEI World Dressage Challenge and National Dressage in two Zones
Submitted by EFIIndiaNF on Wed, 02/20/2008 - 11:06.Consequent to an Executive Committee decision and successful negotiations with FEI , the year 2008 - 09 calendar will have the National Dressage Championships and the FEI World Challenge Championships conducted in two different zones in the country.
Results will be declared after compilation of results from both zones.
This will go a long way in addressing some of the issues related to prohibitive transport costs for competitions.
Bids for the events will be invited from organisers , when the draft calendar is released.
Eventing Team leaves for Australia
Submitted by EFIIndiaNF on Sun, 02/17/2008 - 14:21.The Eventing team comprising of Lt Col Deep Ahlawat , Lt Col G S Gill , Major Rajesh Pattu , Risaldar Bhagirath , Risaldar Gulab Singh left for Austraslia on 14 February to train at the Carrolls Ranch .
In the 21 day programme , the team will be trained by Sharon Carroll , Level 2 coach of Australia as well as Sam Lyle - Australia's National coach for Jumping and Rozzie Ryan ( Qualified for Olympics 2008 in Australia's Dressage Team).
