The first ever edition of National Games has been postponed indefinitely. Karnataka Olympic Association has in a communication stated that no new dates are available at the moment.

Future hopes of the country , the sub junior riders , selected from National and International competitions held in India in 2007-08 , are going for a 3 week training cum competiton exposure in Sydney, Australia with Ms. Sharon Carroll, a Level 2 Coach. The proposal , unique in being a first time for Sub Juniors, is sponsored at full cost by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.

A unique venture has been undertaken by Mr Alagappan, to improve equestrian sport in India by offering his all sport stallion Oscar , who stands out anywhere - inside or outside the arena , for covering service.With this starts the first ever organised equestrian sport stallion covering service in India.
